Dr Eileen Fong graduated from medical school in Malaysia in 1989. She subsequently did her postgraduate training in General Surgery in UK from 1991 to 1993 and obtained her fellowship in general surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1993. This was followed by a four year training in Plastic Surgery in various parts of the United Kingdom under the British Association of Plastic Surgeons Training Program.
Following completion of her Plastic Surgical training in the United Kingdom, she did a further training stint in Singapore to acquire expertise in Oriental Aesthetic Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery, Microsurgery as well as Breast Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. She completed her exit exam in Plastic Surgery in 2000 and is a fellow of the Singapore Academy of Medicine in Plastic Surgery.
Upon return to Malaysia in 2000, Dr Eileen Fong worked as Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the University Hospital Kuala Lumpur. During her University tenure, she was involved significantly in breast reconstruction work . She has given numerous scientific presentations, lectures, public forums and media talks to raise awareness of breast reconstruction. In 2003, she was given the Excellence in Service Award by the University.
Dr Fong’s main interests are breast surgery ( breast reduction,breast, augmentation, mastopaxy, fat transfer, gynaecomastia surgery), abdominoplasty and Oriental Aesthetic Surgery (blepharoplasty, ptosis correction, augmentation rhinoplasty, otoplasty, facelift) She regularly attends international meetings to keep abreast of the latest development in plastic surgery in order to provide the best for her patients. She is now a visiting surgeon at Beverly Wilshire Medical Centre.
